Simple Church For Complex Times

With all that’s going on in our lives, we believe that people need a place of rest and refuge. The simple nature in which the early church conducted worship remains a part of Bethany and provides us with that same shelter two thousand years later. Bethany’s simplicity, we pray, mirrors that of the New Testament church. There indeed is beauty in simplicity.

Family Integrated

“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

Upon visiting, you will realize that families worship together; from the youngest infant to the most senior members. The church throughout the Bible is spoke of as the body of Christ and is exhorted to unity. As our children are included in the body of Christ, we worship with them teaching and encouraging them to participate.

Music

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16

At Bethany, our music consists of the instrument which the Lord himself gave us, our voices. We sing a variety of songs, new and old, congregationally, joining not only our voices, but our hearts in unison. If there’s a song on your heart, simply request it, and we’ll sing it together.

Bible Based Teaching

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

For the child of God, there’s no greater instructor than the word of God. It is for that reason that all of Bethany’s instruction is derived from the pages of holy writ. The textbook is the bible, the teacher is the minister, and the disciple is the student.
